The Galleries
The Law Family Galleries are located in Lowry at the top of the escalator and are free to enter for all. Donations are welcome.

Tues – Fri | 11.00–17.00
Sat- Sun | 10.00 – 17.00
Monday | Closed -except on Bank Holidays
We welcome everyone to The Law Family Galleries. You can find out more about which exhibitions are currently showing and what is upcoming, plus more information on how to plan your visit.
The LS Lowry Exhibition is currently in changeover. Please except our apologies whilst we finish installing our exhibition interpretation and update our access guides. An updated visual story and large print guide will be in place as soon as possible.
On Saturday 26th April the galleries will be open late, until 19:00. This is to allow the Janette Winterson lecture ticket holders to spend time in the galleries before the show. The lecture starts at 20:00, and between 19:00 and 20:00 ticket holders can go to the bar.
On Wednesday 30th April part of the LS Lowry exhibition, including the Going to The Match painting will be closed to the public. This is to allow filming to take place.

Permanent Collection - always on display
Visiting the Lowry Galleries this summer to see our special exhibitions!
To manage capacities and make your visit enjoyable, we are allocating time slots for two gallery experiences.
1. LOWRY 360 immersive
After the experience your ticket will allow you access to Modern Life: The LS Lowry Exhibition where you will be able to see many of Lowrys paintings on display - including Going To The Match, before moving into Quentin Blake and Me.
- One FREE ticket will allow access to LOWRY 360.
- 15 minute timeslots
- The ticket DOES give you access to Quentin Blake and Me & Modern Life : The LS Lowry Exhibition
- Walk-ups may be permitted entry, subject to capacity. Please ask at the Galleries Welcome desk for availability on the day.
2. Quentin Blake and Me & Modern Life : The LS Lowry Exhibition
- One FREE ticket will allow access to Quentin Blake and Me & Modern Life : The LS Lowry Exhibition.
- 30 minute timeslots
- The ticket does NOT give you access to LOWRY 360.
All our exhibitions are FREE, and we greatly appreciate any donations.
When you arrive at the Galleries Welcome Desk, our friendly staff will be there to guide you and answer any questions you might have.
And after your gallery visit don't forget to visit Lowry Bar and Kitchen for dinner and refreshments or if you have little ones with you there will be lots of FREE activities around the building so why not make a day of it!
