Event spaces at Lowry

Swap the hustle and bustle of Manchester city centre for a one-of-a-kind venue less than 2 miles away, on the Salford Quays waterside. Nestled in the heart of MediaCityUK, we’re a well-connected hotspot with a strong community spirit. 

Compass
A beautiful self-contained space which really does have the wow factor, with an impressive circular shape it is perfect for larger events. Floor-to-ceiling windows give panoramic waterside views. But don’t worry, there are automatic blackout blinds if you need them. Complete with its own private bar and balcony.

Capacity up to 250 people

Pier Eight
Impress your guests with sleek, modern decor and gorgeous waterside views. Use as one large space or easily divide into two. Popular for private dining and perfect for meetings or breakout spaces for conferences and seminars. A great choice if you’re looking for convenient ground floor access and features a private outdoor balcony overlooking the waterside.

Capacity of up to 120 people
Hexagon
Its unique positioning offers views of the vibrant interior of The Lowry and wonderful views of the waterside. Access to Hexagon is over a private, internal bridge, so you can really make an entrance. Perfect for smaller events.

Capacity of up to 100 people
Studio
An adaptable and versatile meeting space ready for anyone and anything. Use as one large space or divide with up to three partition walls. When split, Studio 1 is a self-contained small theatre space with tiered seating up to 150 people. Studio 2 and 3 are smaller meeting rooms with waterside views.

Capacity of up to 250 people
South
Our second smallest meeting spaces ideal for small meetings or as a breakout room for larger events. Well-equipped and located at the heart of the building.

Capacity of up to 40 people
North
Our smallest meeting space and is ideal for smaller meetings or as a breakout room for larger events. Well-equipped and vibrantly decorated, it is conveniently located on the ground floor.

Capacity of up to 20 people

Lyric Theatre

Lyric theatre

In the very heart of the Lowry venue, our Lyric Theatre is perfect for big events and conferences with a capacity of up to 1730.

Contemporary in design with state-of-the art facilities this auditorium has one of the largest stages in the UK.

Quays Theatre

Our Quays Theatre has a capacity of up to 440 people, which makes it a more intimate conference or event space.

Our Galleries
Did you know our Galleries can also be hired for your dinner, drinks reception or networking event? We can accommodate up to 40 guests for a dinner and up to 200 people for a drinks reception or networking. Find yourself surrounded by the world’s largest LS Lowry collection. We can arrange for one of our curators to give you an informative, guided tour of the display.
Food and Drink
Our in-house team of chefs have created a range of menus suitable for a variety of daytime and evening events. We strive to provide locally sourced, seasonal and environmentally sustainable produce where possible. We are able to offer an extensive range of drinks and beverages to accompany our menus. Through our suppliers, we can usually accommodate any special requests or source suitable alternatives.
Audio Visual
As a dedicated arts venue, we're well used to dealing with large scale events. Tell us what you're after and the scope of your budget and we'll create a bespoke AV package to suit your needs.
