Step inside LOWRY 360, our new FREE immersive gallery experience.

This is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of LS Lowry’s iconic work, Going to the Match, in the UK’s first free permanent immersive experience.  

Created in collaboration with Barcelona’s renowned Immersive studio, Layers of Reality, visitors will be surrounded by a creative exploration, in super-high resolution, of a painting that celebrates the excitement, anticipation, and ritual of going to a football match on a Saturday afternoon. From factory whistles to the excited chatter of an expectant crowd, this will be a glorious evocation of an experience shared by fans across the country, and a testament to LS Lowry’s exceptional skill at capturing the daily lives of working people – then and now. 

Opening on Saturday, 3 May, and free to attend, this is an experience you won't want to miss!

How to book

To help manage capacities and make your visit enjoyable, we are allocating time slots for both LOWRY 360 and the Modern Life : The LS Lowry Exhibition and Quentin Blake and Me exhibitions. 
 
One FREE ticket will allow access to Modern Life: The LS Lowry Exhibition and Quentin Blake and Me, and another will be needed for LOWRY 360

Please remember to book separately for each of the timed sessions, as a ticket to one does not grant access to the other.
