This festive season, join the fun and discover 5 magical illustrations of Arty Elf hidden around our building! Children are invited to pick up a free trail map from the galleries desk and embark on an exciting adventure. Explore our Lookout, Little Lowry Kitchen, Lowry Shop, Games Area, and Galleries to find all the festive artwork. The trail is available during our gallery opening hours. Don’t miss out on this joyful holiday hunt – the perfect way to add some extra sparkle to your visit!

Arty Elf

Our good friend Arty Elf is back this festive season, and he’s on a special mission to gather up drawings and letters to show Santa! Children are invited to write a letter or create a festive picture for Arty Elf and drop it in our post box, located by the galleries. Who knows? You might even receive a magical response from Arty Elf himself! Don’t miss the chance to share your holiday wishes and join the festive fun!

Books

This season, our Book Nook is featuring an updated selection of books that celebrate festivals and seasonal events, with a focus on diverse representation. Discover stories that reflect a variety of cultures and traditions, perfect for adding extra joy and meaning to your festive celebrations. Come explore our new collection and share the magic of inclusive storytelling with your family!

Christmas Tent & Costumes

The tent castle will be having a bit of a makeover with a festive themed tent and new festive costumes.

Stick Man Figures

Children will be invited to create their own stick man to take home. On the Mondays when the galleries are closed these will be available to do in the Bar and Restaurant.

Festive Forest

Children can create their own tree to add to the forest which will develop along the window in The Lookout.

The Lookout Windows

Get ready for festive fun at The Lookout! Step into our brand-new festive-themed play tent, try on our exciting new costumes, and enjoy a range of creative activities. Children can craft their very own stick man to take home, design a unique tree to add to our growing forest, and make a personalized Christmas card. Plus, we’ve got a selection of festive and show-themed colouring sheets ready for little artists to enjoy. It’s a holiday experience filled with creativity and cheer – don’t miss it!
