Is there space for my school to have lunch?
Yes, if you are attending a workshop please request this at the point of booking. If you are visiting independently you will be allocated a space on the day by our front of house team.

Where do we arrive for a school workshop?
Please come to the main entrance of The Lowry when you arrive and your artist will be there to meet you.

Where can we park our coach?
We have a coach park

What is the Lowry Teachers Network and how do I join?
The Lowry Teachers Network is for teachers from across the North West in all Key Stages, FE and HE settings. The network strives to enhance and inform The Lowry’s offer for education providers and support curriculum areas through the use of the arts. If you would like to join please email getcreative@thelowry.com

Do I need to book to visit the Galleries?
Yes, please contact the groups booking line on 0343 208 1850 to make a booking

Are the Galleries free to visit?
Yes, independent gallery visits are free. Please make a booking by contacting our groups booking line on 0343 208 1850

Do you offer any discounts to Salford schools?
Yes, our school workshop programme has a discounted rate for Salford Schools, this is available when you book.

Do you hold a learning outside the classroom badge?
We currently do not

How do you support schools working towards Artsmark?
We are able to offer a bespoke programme to schools working towards Artsmark, to discuss how we could help your school please email getcreative@thelowry.com

Are your workshops accessible?
Yes, please indicate the needs of the children when you book to ensure we assign you the most appropriate artist for your workshop

What is the Copley Prize?
The Copley Prize is a competition for Primary aged children. Children are invited to submit their own LS Lowry Masterpieces. Find out more 

What is the deadline for the Copley Prize 2022-2023?
Term 1 – 5th December 2022
Term 2 – 3rd April 2023
Term 3 – 3rd July 2023
Overall winner announced – July 2023

What is the capacity of your workshops?
35 pupils + accompanying adults

What is the capacity for independent gallery visits?
30 pupils per allocated slot, you are able to book multiple time slots

Can I pay by invoice?
Yes, you will be able to select this option at the point of booking

How long before my booking do I need to make payment?
2 weeks prior to your visit

Do we need to bring anything with us for our workshop?
No, all materials are provided

Can I come on a familiarisation visit?
The Lowry encourages teachers to make a preparatory visit to assess the facilities available to school groups. Email getcreative@thelowry.com to arrange a guided visit
