A friendly, creative & accessible place for everyone
Situated on the waterfront in MediacityUK we are really easy to get to from Manchester City Centre either via bus or tram with parking available in the Quayside. We are fully accessible with step free access, lifts enabling to all floors and accessible toilets throughout.
Whether you’re in the area for the day with the family, visiting the galleries (home of one of the largest LS Lowry collections in the World) or attending a theatre performance, we can’t wait to welcome you to The Lowry!
Please note: Children under the age of 12 years must be accompanied by an adult at all times, throughout the venue.
We believe that our diverse programme of performing and visual arts should be accessible to anyone, and we aim to make everyone’s visit as easy as possible.
If you have any additional needs, or questions about your visit please get in touch by email or call the access line on 0161 876 2183. We will always try to accommodate requests and welcome any feedback about our access provision.
We have installed a new state-of-art security screening system at The Lowry. It uses AI technology to scan people in real time.
Bags and small backpacks are permitted in the galleries but if you have an item larger than cabin bag size (55cm x 40cm x 20cm) you will be asked to leave it in The Lowry’s cloakroom (£2 per item). No items of luggage can be wheeled around the gallery spaces – please carry your bags at all times. Exceptions will only be made for bags containing essential medical provisions/equipment or baby changing items that require larger bags.
Galleries: Tue-Fri 11am-5pm | Sat-Sun 10am-5pm | Closed Mon, except bank holidays.
