Annual Charity Golf Day raises £23,000 for The Lowry Centre Trust
The Lowry held its 17th Annual Charity Golf Day at Dunham Forest Golf & Country Club on the Thursday 30th June 2022.
21 teams of four from across Greater Manchester’s business community took on the iconic course in a day of competition and fundraising in aid of important work The Lowry does using the arts for social change.
Over the years the golf days have raised an amazing £320,000 to help deliver important Learning and Engagement programmes to those that need it most, including the most vulnerable young people from Greater Manchester; young carers, looked after children, teenage parents and young people experiencing homelessness as well as supporting parents and children who are struggling.
This year’s golf day included a raffle packed full of fantastic prizes, a ‘Beat the Pro’ competition on the 13th hole with the overall winner receiving two return flights on Turkish Airlines in Business Class to Dalaman or Antalya, and a wonderful BBQ dinner on the terrace followed by an auction and prize giving ceremony.
The winning team was Happy Property who took home the title as The Lowry Charity Golf Day 2022 winners.
The Lowry would like to thank Turkish Airlines and Carlsberg in particular for generously sponsoring this event, and Dunham Forest Golf & Country Club for their continued support.
The event will return in 2023.
