One Lowry, Many stories

Celebrating 25 Years of Creativity, Community and Change

As Lowry turns 25, we’re marking this milestone with a powerful new project that honours the voices, memories and people who’ve shaped our journey, and the transformation of Salford Quays.

One Lowry, Many Stories celebrates the artists, volunteers, staff, visitors and local residents who’ve helped make Lowry what it is today. Through immersive art, photography, and storytelling, we’re capturing the spirit of a place that’s been reimagined over the past quarter-century.

We’re proud to present exciting new works inspired by these stories:

Real Stories. Real Voices.

From those who lived and worked in Salford Quays before Lowry was built, to young creatives whose careers began here, this project brings together voices from across our community. We have recorded the memories of over 40 people that will be preserved in the Salford Digital Archives - a lasting legacy for future generations.
