ARTIST PEER MENTORING PROGRAMME
Saturdays 31st May, 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th June. All 10.30-1pm
Lowry, Pier 8, The Quays, Salford, M50 3AZ
Do you regularly help other artists in your networks with their careers?
Would you like some support with reflecting on the wider holistic needs of your own practice?
Are you interested in learning new skills or refreshing old ones?
Then the Artist Peer Mentoring Programme could be for you.
This 5 week programme is for artists to explore Peer Mentoring, developing skills in supporting others that can be used within their arts community and helping reflect on the wider holistic needs for their own practice. Over 5 weeks, attendees will learn essential skills such as global listening, open questions, and goal setting, with a chance to practice learning within each session by being part of a peer mentoring pair.
This is for you if...
- You want to learn new skills, or refresh old ones, to support other artists in your networks.
- You have something you would like support with yourself and would benefit from the practice sessions with a peer.
- You live, work or study in Salford.
This is not for you if...
- You need or want to focus on other artistic needs such as funding or access to space, etc.
- You do not live, work or study in Salford.
- We can signpost you to other opportunities if either of these are the case.
Sessions will take place on Saturdays, 10:30am to 1pm at The Lowry, Salford Quays. Spaces are limited, so we ask that only people who can make all 5 sessions apply.
This is an opportunity for playing a vital part within the Salford arts community, taking their learning back into their networks.
Delivered with Holly Ball, Creative Careers Specialist. Holly has over fifteen years experience in the creative and cultural section and her work focuses on empowering individuals to take back control and develop the career they want for themselves.
