All The Water In The World - an online digital event hosted by The Lowry, Norwich Theatre, and the Attenborough Arts Centre

A play on WhatsApp

by Gaël Le Cornec and BJT Samuels

Produced by Limbik
An online digital event hosted by The Lowry, Norwich Theatre, and the Attenborough Arts Centre

Digital Tour, March-April, 2023

Can a Voice Message save the Rainforest? Who knows… but it just might help Giselle. She’s a little bit bored and a lot alone.

So she records the sounds of water around her. They remind her of a big river on the other side of the ocean. A place that evokes… Wait.

She needs to tell someone about it, ideally a total stranger… you?

All the Water in the World is a warm, quirky, one-to-one performance on WhatsApp, which is experienced from the audience member’s own home via a mobile phone.

Using a combination of live calls, messaging, and 3D spatial audio, award-winning Limbik makes the everyday become extra-ordinary as you listen and connect in a (perhaps) unusual way.

All the Water in the World will be performed at various dates and times-slots this Spring. It is hosted by The Lowry, Norwich Theatre, and Attenborough Arts Centre, but can be experienced anywhere in the world.

Originally commissioned by the Lowry’s LIVE NOW digital commissioning programme, emerging during lockdown, this new show explores the uses of everyday technology in creating new platforms for live performance. The show is highly interactive, immersive and personal.
