Pier Eight launch new restaurant menu.

Pier Eight, The Lowry’s stylish restaurant and bar have launched a new restaurant menu for the winter season following the success of their summer waterside terrace launch and new bar menu.

The restaurant aims to showcase fresh British flavours and seasonal ingredients. The new menu, launched on Friday 13th September uses ingredients grown fresh on the roof of The Lowry. Borage, nasturtium, mint, sage, fennel and cornflower are among some of the plants being grown in recycled pots.

Overlooking the Manchester Ship Canal, The Lowry’s restaurant and bar offers a fine dining experience with a pre-theatre menu available for two courses at £23 or three for £29.

Oliver Thomas, executive head chef at Pier Eight, said: “I’m really proud of this new menu. It reflects the change of season – with ingredients to compliment an autumnal feel, such as roasted chestnut, red wine sauce and spiced pumpkin. There’s also few classic dishes with a bit of a twist that I’m excited to share.”

The new menu includes dishes such as, Rump Lamb, Roast Cod, Risotto, and sweet treats including Manchester Tart, Spiced pumpkin Rice pudding and Black forest Marquis.

The new menu is available pre-theatre from 5pm – 7.30pm, to book call 0161 876 2121.
