Stitching Sparks
By Delicate Entropy
Stitching Sparks is a comedic exploration of expectations within romantic relationships through the aesthetics and iconography of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. This piece depicts the literal building of a "perfect partner," and the toll that expectations can inflict on both sides. Blending mime, movement, and tragicomedy, we delve into the perfectionism of our each other and ourselves. Should we change for love? How can we keep the spark alive? Find out in Stitching Sparks!

Three artists, three memories, and a triple helping of sabotage. They will have moments of working with each other and against each other, a seesaw struggle if you will, to each share a story from their childhood. Three voices perform in a tangled thread, where laughter, whispers, and shouts collide, each eager to weave their tale, yet forever interrupted by one another. Inevitably, everything will always descend into chaos.
