Fancy a quick pick‑me‑up? Pop into our Coffee Shop for locally roasted Neighbourhood coffee, Brew Tea from Salford and a selection of cakes, pastries and pre‑packed sandwiches — ideal if you’re heading straight to a show or wandering along the Quays.

Theatre Bars
Drinks before the show and during the interval
We have two Theatre Bars serving specific parts of the venue - our Circle Bar, up on level 2 of the Lyric Theatre and our Quays Bar for performances in the Quays Theatre.
Relax before the show and during intervals with a wide selection of drinks and locally sourced snacks. And don’t forget to order your interval drinks in advance to avoid any hassle during the break.
Both bars open 1 hour before a show starts and close after the last interval.
Circle Bar (Lyric Theatre)
Located on Level 2, the Circle Bar is ideal for pre‑show drinks if you're seated in the Upper or Circle levels of the Lyric Theatre. It’s quick to reach and makes getting back to your seat simple during the interval.
Quays Bar (Quays Theatre)
Right next to the Quays Theatre auditorium entrance, this bar is perfect for grabbing a drink before the show or during the interval. It’s fully accessible and close to the action.

What times can I book pre‑theatre dining?
Pre‑theatre dining is available 12pm–2pm for lunch or pre‑matinee, and 5pm–7pm for dinner.
Do you cater for dietary requirements?
Yes - We can cater for gluten‑free, dairy‑free and a wide range of other needs. Just mention it when you book or email restaurant@thelowry.com ahead of your visit.
Do you have a Kids Menu?
Yes - we offer two separate Kids Menus for the Restaurant and the Kitchen and Bar with activities to keep little ones entertained while you dine.
Can I get food before every performance?
Yes - Food is served daily from 12pm until 30 minutes before curtain on show days and until 4pm on non‑show days.
Where can I get a drink before the show?
You can visit Lowry Bar & Kitchen, which is just a few steps from the theatre auditoriums and open before and during intervals.

Yes - You're encouraged to pre‑order interval drinks to avoid queues during the break.
Is there a play area for children?
Yes - the Bar & Kitchen includes the Little Lowry Kitchen play area, plus our Lowry Lunchbox children’s meal.

Our commitment to sustainability
We work hard to reduce our impact on the environment. Here are just some of the ways we’re doing our bit for the planet:
- We switched single-use plastic water bottles for canned water, saving half a tonne of plastic from being sent to landfill in 2023.
- We now use paper straws and reusable plastic cups instead of single-use plexiglass.
- We source produce locally whenever possible to reduce our delivery emissions.
- We swapped our cleaning products for natural, no-chemical alternatives.
