Meet the acts

Dan Nightingale

Dan Nightingale is widely regarded as one of the best performers working on the comedy circuit today. Mixing fiendishly accurate observation with energetic characterisations and killer punch lines, his comedy is original, playful, intelligent, poignant and exciting; sometimes ridiculous… but always hilarious.

Phil Wang

Phil Wang is a British-Malaysian stand-up comedian, writer and actor. He released his first Netflix special, Philly Philly Wang Wang, in 2021 and has since performed stand-up on Late Night with Seth Meyers (NBC), been interviewed by chat show royalty on That’s My Time with David Letterman (Netflix), and his first book Sidesplitter: How to be from Two Worlds at Once was named a Times and Sunday Times Book of the Year.

Phil regularly performs stand-up to sell- out crowds around the world and his other notable television credits include Inside Amy Schumer (Comedy Central), Life & Beth (Hulu), The Comedy Line-Up (Netflix), Taskmaster (Channel 4), Live at the Apollo (BBC2) and has made ten appearances on Have I Got News For You (BBC1). John Kearns

John Kearns is an actor, writer and the only comedian to have won both the Edinburgh Comedy Awards for Best Show (Shtick) and Best Newcomer (Sight Gags for Perverts) in the awards’ 40-year history.

An internationally-acclaimed live act, John has delivered his ‘richly, idiosyncratic comedy’ (The Guardian) across the world, and beyond his Edinburgh Comedy Award success, his shows have notably picked up two Melbourne Barry Award nominations, and he was twice-voted one of the Evening Standard’s 1000 Most Influential Londoners. John’s fifth stand-up comedy hour The Varnishing Days, debuted at the Soho theatre to huge acclaim.

Sophie is a regular guest on Frankie Boyle’s New World Order (BBC2). She has appeared on Live at The Apollo (BBC2), Mock the Week (BBC2), 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown (Channel 4) and Hypothetical (Dave). Sophie is the winner of the 13th series of Taskmaster (Channel 4).
