Together We Create
Celebrating Salford’s Rich Heritage and Creative Spirit with 11 Inspiring Community Projects.
This year marks Lowry’s incredible 25th anniversary, and we’re making it unforgettable by celebrating the power of creativity in our communities! Together We Create, part of ‘Lowry Turns 25’ is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery players, we have been able to deliver an ambitious heritage project, bringing local histories to life, and exploring L.S. Lowry's legacy as a champion of working class and industrial heritage.
We’re proud to announce the 11 Salford-based community organisations that have been selected to be part of Together We Create, a project at the heart of our 25th celebrations and delivered in partnership with Salford CVS (Community and Voluntary Services).
Jenny Riding, Director of Learning & Engagement at Lowry said:
“Together We Create is a beautiful reflection of what makes our communities so special—creativity, collaboration, and a deep sense of pride in Salford.
“It was so important to us to celebrate our communities, our history and heritage, and the vibrant spirit of Salford as part of our birthday. Thanks to the support of The National Lottery Heritage Fund, we’re not just marking a milestone—we’re making new memories and shaping the next chapter.”
Selected from open call, the 11 groups came together to meet and mark the start of the project at a special Welcome Event at Lowry on Thursday 26th June. The community organisations involved are Community Support Centre, Talk About It Mate, Women with Wings CIC, Stepping Stones Creative, Lusoconnectionuk CIC, Tatty Kids Drama Club, Comedy Stitch Productions CIC, Doosti Salford, Jak’s World, Salford Arts Theatre, and the Friday Friends Community Wellbeing Group.
