Led by Northwest choreographer/director, Jordan Sheard, this workshop blends contemporary dance, writing, and storytelling into one delicious, creative experience.
Expect movement exploration, script work, improvisation, games, and writing, all aimed at building compelling narratives through the body. You’ll experiment with how text and movement can spark each other, and build something raw, real, and maybe even a little bit ridiculous (in the best way!)
Inspired by Jordan’s upcoming show The Joy of Kissing, we’ll dive into themes of connection, tenderness, awkwardness, and joy, using physical theatre and free writing to build ideas that move (literally).
Who is it for?
Dancers, movers, writers, theatre-makers, dance-theatre creators and anyone who likes playing with movement and meaning—whether you’re experienced or just curious.
