About Aarian’s work
As a part of the Developed With programme, Aarian has been commissioned to bring his debut hour of stand up to life.
This show will see Aarian take the stage for the first time on his own and regale the audience with stories of traversing through life as a triple threat (Blind, Brown and Bi) man all whilst skillfully threading a story which culminates in performing a stand up hour a year out of being diagnosed with brain cancer.
“I feel both terrified and unbelievably excited to be making this show and discovering a form of storytelling and audience engagement that feels totally fresh and new for me. And I’m so excited to be developing it with Lowry, who have a wealth of experience to support me navigate this new venture.” - Aarian Mehrabani
