CTRL Residency
As a continuation of the CTRL programme, Lowry and Submerge Festival offered four research and development residencies exclusively to artists who took part in CTRL 2023.
We had been excited to hear how CTRL inspired and informed the development of new ideas, and offered four artists the opportunity to take on a residency with Lowry and Submerge Festival and spend time researching and developing new ideas involving creative technology.
Out of CTRL was a showcase of New Creative Technology Performance that took place on Friday 28 and Saturday 29 June 2024.
Out of CTRL showcased four new creative technology experiences from artists Andee Collard, Heather Alice White, Scarlett-Rose Lovette and Shawn J Stephen.
Working across immersive performance, gig-theatre, sound and painting, these four new works took audiences on a journey into the world of machine art, autism and neurodivergence, Functional Neurological Disorder and seizures, and the diverse experiences of giving and receiving care.
