If you’re writing original songs that sit anywhere on the pop spectrum - from chart-ready bangers to pop musical theatre storytelling - and you’re looking for a place to share your work, POP up! is for you.
POP up! is a brand-new event series showcasing North West songwriters and creatives working across pop music in all its forms including musical theatre with pop at its heart. We’re here to spark collaborations, celebrate fresh voices, and champion writers creating bold, emotionally-driven work with full main character energy.
POP up! is a trilogy of events and each night has its own unique twist.
LOWRY EDIT: MUSICAL THEATRE MEETS POP

Venue: Lowry Aldridge Studio
A sparkling showcase of original songs, big voices and pop storytelling. Where musical theatre lives loud and proud within the pop world.
Selected songwriters will:
- Share up to two songs each
- Be part of a line-up of 6 songwriters / creatives
Important information:
- The songwriter fee for performing at a POP up! event is £100.
- On the day, there will be rehearsals in the afternoon (4pm–7pm) ahead of the performance — and we’d love you to be there.
