Mischief are passionate about spreading joy and comedy and share the art of making people laugh with Mischief Workshops. Attend a 3 hour practical workshop that is designed for industry professionals interested in learning about the art of Clowning.
The clown is at the heart of all of Mischief’s work on stage and screen, and as part of this session you’ll explore the 3 main clown types that appear in our work.
The Auguste, The Naive and the Bizarre.
We’ll explore which of the 3 archetypes you naturally gravitate towards, how the clown is changed or impacted by the presence of the audience as well as getting to build your very own ‘Goes Wrong’ scene.
This isn’t a session about learning how to be funny, it explores ‘WHY something is funny’ and using that knowledge to a performers advantage in comedic performance.
Who is it for
This Mischief Workshop has been created with Lowry exclusively for Creative Hub Members. Please note that this is a practical workshop. All participants must be aged 18 or over.
