In the first of two short films specially commissioned by The Lowry as part of the #LoveLowry programme, and filmed in Salford, The Faction have reimagined and revitalised a solo show from their repertoire, originally performed in 2016 at New Diorama Theatre.
My Last Duchess, adapted by Jessica Siân from Robert Browning’s 19th Century poem, explores one woman’s powerful response to an extraordinary and contemptible level of control. Starring Amelia Donkor as Duchess and directed by The Faction’s joint Artistic Director Rachel Valentine Smith.
