Matthew Warchus’ big-hearted, smash hit production of Charles Dickens’ immortal classic comes to Lowry following nine sell out years at The Old Vic, joyously adapted for the stage by Jack Thorne (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, His Dark Materials) and starring acclaimed actor, writer, comedian and presenter John Thomson (Cold Feet) as Ebenezer Scrooge.
A Christmas Carol fills the auditorium to the brim with mince pies, music and merriment. A unique staging immerses the audience in London’s longest running adaptation of this beloved festive favourite.
Cast Announcement
John Thomson (Cold Feet, 24 Hour Party People, Hobson’s Choice) will take on the role of Ebenezer Scrooge in Matthew Warchus’ timeless production of A Christmas Carol, adapted for the stage by Jack Thorne (His Dark Materials, Harry Potter and The Cursed Child), which plays outside of London for the first time, in this, the production’s 10th anniversary year.
