Hamlet

This event has passed

Following the success of their explosive adaptation of “Hamlet” at Storyhouse in 2019, the award-winning Boaty Youth Theatre Company will be propelling this tragic tale of treachery, mistrust, lost-love and the search for one’s self into life once more at The Lowry; January 2020.

“What a piece of work is man?”

Love or loathe Shakespeare, his works are the most quoted and most produced of any language to date.  Join us for a darkly re-imagined exploration of Shakespeare’s most famous tragedy as we consider gender, identity, power, deception, envy, lust, love, honour, betrayal, despair and so much more…

“[The] performance was exceptional: ensemble playing of the highest quality…

Ophelia’s descent into madness was beautiful and Hamlet’s

‘To be’ soliloquy I have never seen better delivered nor with more anguish.”

                                         – Tony Grand at Storyhouse, 2019

“I’ve never understood Shakespeare, but these guys make it accessible!”

                             – Audience Feedback, RSC Gardens, Stratford-upon-Avon, 2019

“Just superb!”

                             – David Bradley, Actor & Patron, 2019
