'Andante' performed at The Place, London. Igor & Moreno.

Igor+Moreno: Andante

This event has passed

A co-commission with The Lowry

This performance about slowing down and sensing makes its welcome return to The Lowry after touring the world.

Enter the theatre and take a moment to see, hear and smell as the room is filled with smoke and scent.

‘What you will see, hear and smell is a performance about slowing down and sensing. The word andante itself refers to a type of musical movement that is moderately slow or distinct. We think of the performance as both a celebration of – and antidote to – spectacle.’ – Igor+Moreno

Igor and Moreno make hypnotic and visceral works about people and what makes us such special animals. ‘Andante’ and ‘BEAT’ follow on from international tours of acclaimed works ‘Idiot-Syncrasy’ and ‘A Room For All Our Tomorrows’ which have both been performed at The Lowry.

The performance of Andante includes a movement quotation from Stephen Paterson’s line dance ‘Andante Andante’ (2015)
