We Invented the Weekend
For two days on 15th and 16th June We Invented the Weekend festival takes over MediaCity and Salford Quays. As part of the festival The Lowry will open its doors for free special performances, backstage tours and workshops.
After a hugely successful launch year in June 2023, which attracted 60,000 visitors, We Invented the Weekend will once again transform MediaCity and Salford Quays with a programme of completely FREE performances and activities to celebrate what people get up to over the weekend.
Expect a specially-curated programme of over 200 events and activities, including family events, boat trips, wellbeing activities and music from Sounds from the Other City, DJ Paulette and more.
You can see full event listings for the whole weekend here Full Event Listing
