THE LARGEST LS LOWRY COLLECTION IN THE WORLD ON PERMANENT DISPLAY
During his long career, LS Lowry saw enormous change, not only in Manchester and Salford but in small details of daily life, from what people wore, to where they lived and how they spent their time. His skill, in observing the world around him, was to extract what was timeless and relevant to us all so that his pictures – of sea and land, city and people – still connect with us today.
This re-display of The Lowry’s collection, supplemented by some key loans will provide new insight into his life and times and demonstrate why his popularity still continues today.

We offer free 10-minute daily talks in our LS Lowry Collection delivered by our Gallery Interpreters.
During our Summer Exhibition these will take place from 12.00-12.15.
