World Ballet Day 2023: The Sleeping Beauty with Dame Darcey Bussell
BRB look forward to welcoming Dame Darcey Bussell to coach their Company dancers in January in preparation for The Sleeping Beauty tour.
In case you missed it, you can watch their spectacular Sleeping Beauty masterclass where Dame Darcey coached dancers Yu Kurihara and Haoliang Feng in the ballet’s leading roles. This was filmed in Plymouth as part of World Ballet Day in November.
Dame Darcey started her professional career dancing with Sadler’s Wells Royal Ballet (as BRB was known before its move to Birmingham) before being appointed The Royal Ballet’s youngest-ever Principal dancer, where she appeared as Aurora in four different productions of The Sleeping Beauty.
