And all wrapped up with sparkling virtuoso dance from BRB’s brilliant dancers, fairy-tale characters, dazzling spectacle, and Tchaikovsky’s glorious music played live by the acclaimed

Join BRB this World Ballet Day for a stream of a masterclass with Dame Darcey Bussell at 8pm on Wednesday 1st November. Dame Darcey will coach Company dancers Yu Kurihara and Haoliang Feng in the leading roles from one of the most technically challenging classical ballets, The Sleeping Beauty.
The films will be streamed on Birmingham Royal Ballet’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.
Dame Darcey started her professional career dancing with Sadler’s Wells Royal Ballet (as BRB was known before its move to Birmingham) before being appointed The Royal Ballet’s youngest-ever Principal dancer, where she appeared as Aurora in four different productions of The Sleeping Beauty.
Whether you have been to a ballet before or not, this is the perfect opportunity to see one of the world’s greatest ballerinas and former Strictly Come Dancing judges as she coaches the next generation of dancers.
BRB will also stream the world premiere of a new choreographed piece Axios by Principal Lachlan Monaghan at 5pm, which showcases the classical skills of BRB’s exemplary female dancers.
We hope you will join us as we celebrate the magic of ballet!
