Aarian Mehrabani: How's Your Head?

Lowry Artist Development presents
Fri 31 Jul 2026 and Sat 01 Aug 2026

Aarian is a triple threat.

Brown, Blind and Bi.

Arguably already too many things to talk about in a debut stand up hour.

Then 2024 came, and he only had to go and get f**king brain cancer.

The highly anticipated debut stand-up show from the multi award-winning writer of the smash hit play It’s a MotherF**king Pleasure.

Commissioned and supported by Lowry through its 'Developed With' Programme.

Join Aarian ahead of his run at the 2026 Edinburgh Fringe Festival to explore his relationship with his Persian identity, his time in hospital battling an aggressive brain tumour, and his obsession with 2019 Netflix spectacular The Crown.

Directed by Dec Munro

Written & Performed by Aarian Mehrabani

Bio

Aarian Mehrabani is a multi award winning comedian, writer and actor from the Northwest. Best known for Co-Writing the smash hit play “It’s A MotherF**king Pleasure”, in which he also played the roll of Ross.

He trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama on the BA Acting (Collaborative and Devised Theatre) course. Since graduating, he co-founded the multi-award-winning theatre company FlawBored. Their debut show, IT’S A MOTHERF**KING PLEASURE, which Aarian co-wrote and performs in, has received widespread critical and commercial acclaim. Premiering at Vaults Festival in 2023, the show quickly transferred to Soho Theatre, won the Untapped Award, and completed a sell-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe that same year. It garnered numerous five-star reviews, and Aarian, along with the three other writers, was named one of The Stage’s “Fringe Five” artists who smashed the Fringe.

Since then, the show has enjoyed a three-week run off-Broadway and toured to Washington DC, Boston, and the Southbank Centre.

FlawBored second show, “What’s The F**king Point?”, which Aarian also acts in and co-wrote had it’s first public outing at The Royal Court Theatre during a rehearsed reading which sold out in under 24 hours.

He is set to appear in the Channel 4 Drama "Hunting Alice Bell" as Darius.
