Grab your broom sticks and join Edy Hurst (‘Bursts with Comedic Energy’ - The Skinny) on a wyrd and wonderfull journey of self-discoverie through the realms of the Lancashire Witch Trials, Neurodivergence and the Vengaboys!

Startling revelations about Edy’s ancestry have led him upon a pathway to convene with powers beyond our world, and now Edy must attempt to harness the power of his ancestors to navigate modern society. But around every corner there seems to lurk a darkness, the siren call of the Vengaboys, what’s all that about?

Combining comedy, clowning, live music and a giant cauldron, Edy Hurst’s Wonderfull
Discoverie of Witches in the Countie of Himself is a new magical and mystical comedy
theatre show that offers a humorous, heartfelt and unique insight into the shifting and
sometimes mysterious world of late-stage ADHD diagnosis.

Extant in partnership with The Lowry – presents Enhance.

Visually impaired access has been created for this show post-production, devised by an Extant visually impaired facilitator. This is not audio description, but instead an ‘enhanced’ way of providing access that has been tried and tested by Extant.

We invite visually impaired audiences to come along and experience the programme notes and touch tour before the show beginning at (time). The notes encapsulate the visual aspects of the show and are written with access for visually impaired audiences at the core. The Touch Tour offers exploration of set, props and costume: offering an immersive space in which to imagine the work before the show begins.

‘Very descriptive and it allowed me to create a visual picture in my head.’

Extant Enhance 2023-26 is funded by Paul Hamlyn Foundation and Arts Council England.
