THE BINARY GRAFFITI CLUB
A PROJECT BY STANZA
The Binary Graffiti Club inspires us to see our cities as a canvas to create change. It is a social and performative art project custom produced for each city.
The aim of the project is to create new artistic and performative metaphors relevant to the experience of the city, and political landscape by creating a series of artworks through public engagement events.
As part of WEEK 53 The Binary Graffiti Club will be responding and changing the city of Salford. Young people from across Salford will be asked to respond to a series of questions and provocations. Their answers will be transformed into a unique binary code which they will graffiti across Salford as their own manifesto. Experience this project by following their graffiti trails across Salford from Fri 24– Sun 26 April.
Look out for The Binary Graffiti Choir performing the manifesto in binary sounds in various locations around Salford Quays on Sunday 26 August,
The Binary Graffiti Club is an ongoing project and you can get involved: adding to the manifesto, wearing hoodies, being in a choir, creating graffiti.
