Sadler’s Wells presents… ZooNation's Some Like it Hip Hop
A ZooNation : The Kate Prince Company and Sadler’s Wells Co-production
ZooNation’s smash-hit sensation Some Like it Hip Hop thrilled audiences and critics when it opened in 2011, prompting an Oliver Award nomination, five-star reviews and standing ovations with its infectious “wit, heart and magnificent energy” (The Independent).
With a nod to Billy Wilder’s Some Like It Hot and Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, it tells a comical tale of love, mistaken identity and revolution, as two women take on a male-dominated world by disguising themselves as men.
Written and directed by Sadler’s Wells Associate Artist Kate Prince with original music by DJ Walde and Josh Cohen.
Original production supported by The Curve, Leicester and Wales Millennium Centre
