Lowry at Home: Salford 1966
Previously unseeen photographs by one of the world’s most celebrated international photographers, famous for many iconic fashion and portrait images of the last 50 years.
Commissioned by Nova magazine to record Salford in 1966, Clive Arrowsmith began his assignment at the home of LS Lowry. Quickly gaining Lowry’s trust, he was able to photograph the artist at home, in his garden and on nearby streets, providing a uniquely domestic portrait of an artist renowned for guarding his privacy.
