If an amazing piece of theatre falls in the forest, but no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?
Or, to paraphrase that famous proverb: What’s the point of making fantastic work, if you can’t get it programmed?
Getting your show booked by a venue can be one of the toughest and most frustrating aspects of the industry; this workshop aims to demystify programmers and the entire programming process. Delivered by Porl Cooper, one of the region’s most experienced programmers, you will learn how to identify potential venues for your work; figure out how best to communicate with programmers about the show you’re offering them; and understand the language you might come across in conversations about bookings, amongst other things.
Venue: The Aldridge Studio
This workshop is free to studio members.
