How we did!
We are thrilled that this year’s School Appeal raised an incredible £11,212.50!
This means we can now reach more primary school pupils across Salford than ever before and make sure our engagement with them leaves a greater legacy and impact for pupils, teachers and their schools.
Thanks to the support of donors to the Appeal, we will now be able to employ professional freelance artists to deliver a full day’s activity in each school rather than half a day, meaning that our outreach workshops will reach approximately 1,400 pupils, twice as many as the last academic year.
We will also provide schools and teachers with a greater range of art materials and resources so that they can continue to deliver creative activity and put into practice the techniques they have learned long after the workshops have been delivered.
And we will be able to pay for transport for schools to bring their pupils to The Lowry to strengthen their engagement with us and provide young people across Salford with what for many will be their first visit to a theatre or gallery.
Thank you to everyone who made this possible.
