Thursday 28th April, 6 – 7:30pm
Calling writers and artists – are you interested in making comics and graphic novels and haven’t met your creative counterpart? To coincide with Julian Gray’s comic-book exhibition Stories For Us, we are delighted to be hosting a creative matchmaking event for illustrators and writers to meet and begin collaborating!
This is a speed networking event to find new collaborators and partnerships for the future. Each pair will meet for five minutes to chat and share material, before moving on to the next partner, and at the end of the session there will be the chance to talk to others more informally.
Co-hosted by Zoe Watson, Galleries Curator and Antonia Beck, Senior Producer Artist Development at The Lowry
If you are interested in attending, please send an email to email@example.com letting us know if you are a writer or illustrator (so we can keep the numbers even!) and further information. We’ll use this information to find out more about you so we can do a bit of advance pairing up.
- Are you a writer or illustrator?
- Please write up to 200 words on your experience and why you would like to take part.
OPTIONAL: If you’d like to provide a link to your portfolio, or 1 or 2 examples of your work, or a CV (as a PDF or DOC/DOCX) so we can get to know you ahead of time.
